About Us

Welcome to EMBED, where we live and breathe Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and love working with people and organisations who share our passion and commitment for a world where everyone feels included and valued.

EMBED was founded to offer a unique approach to embedding real culture change informed by the lived experience of colleagues, customers, visitors, service users or communities.  This means helping our clients to create places and spaces, policies and practices that welcome, enable and support people from diverse backgrounds and with different life experiences. We always consider diversity and inclusion from an intersectional perspective, the idea that we don’t experience the world based on one characteristic.

We are committed to sharing affordable, bespoke best practice guidance on EDI with any organisation big or small, that has a genuine commitment to embedding a diverse and inclusive culture. Although our Head Office is in the North West of England (long gone are those London-centric EDI services and events) we work both face-to-face and virtually with clients across the globe.

We believe that our approach to EDI culture change, delivers practical ‘real world’ solutions, grounded in the lived experience of your people. And we believe that our growing client list of charities, heritage and arts organisations, higher education, local government authorities and the NHS is testament to our success.

Finally we think that our collaborative consultancy approach is a win-win for us and our clients. While we help you to think outside the box when it comes to EDI, you are constantly helping us to understand what it really means to be welcomed and accepted in the world.

Our Consultants

Our team of consultants have over 30 years' experience of cultural and organisational transformation gained in global private sector organisations, across public sector and third sector organisations.  Most of us have lived experience of at least one protected characteristic.
